In the serene valley lies a concrete fortress encircled by tranquil waters. Long after the echoes of war had faded from the region, nature reasserted itself, softening the harsh edges of the structure with a blanket of lush vegetation. Players can approach the ruins through the water, embarking on a journey of exploration within this reclaimed sanctuary.
Before actually constructing the scene, I designed the player's path, taking into account a combination of real-life landscaping principles and the way scenes are framed in movies. The entire map features a significant downhill section with a zigzag pattern leading to an entrance in a valley. Players can spot the entrance in the distance through a gap in a tree at a higher elevation and actively follow the path to reach their destination. This design creates a pleasant rhythm in the game and helps prevent players from getting lost.
